The Q graders in our cupping lab scored this coffee 85.5

Three producers contributed to this coffee. We combined 14.23 quintales from Herminio Valentin’s farm, El Duranzo, or, The Peach, with 10.73 quintales from Mauricio de Dios’s farm, El Paraiso, or, The Paradise. But the primary contributor, with 64 quintales, was Aquilino Lopez — whose 5-hectare farm doesn’t have a formal name. So, we named the microlot after the man himself. These producers all work under the same methodology and are guided by the same principles of good agronomy. They picked only red cherries and delivered them the same day to the CAFICO co-op, in Corquin Copan. CAFICO received the cherry and helped to identify and separate the best batches.
